“Allo, music lovers…, From the streets of Toronto, to the streets of London, now, here to kick your ass… The Pat Travers Band!!”

It’s early 1979, and the Pat Travers Band have just been introduced and subsequently recorded for what would become one of the slickest and hottest, Live guitar-rock albums ever committed to vinyl.

‘Live! Go for What You Know’ was a huge success on both sides of the pond, acclaimed by their musical peers, fans, and music critics alike. It was high-energy. It was electric. It was lightning in a bottle.

The album, much like the Canadian musician himself, remains an influence for a whole generation of guitar slingers. This is the stuff Legends are made of.

In early 2009, and the Pat Travers Band have just been recorded live by Rockline Radio. On playback, Rockline’s Bob Coburn comments: “I think we caught lightning in a bottle tonight.” To have that happen once in a career is special. To repeat that feat thirty years later may be unique. But, as Rockline and thousands of fans across parts of North America and Europe already know, this band doesn’t just produce the goods in the studio… This Pat Travers Band is also one seriously tight rockin’ unit, and live, they always deliver.

“My name is Pat Travers, and this is my band…”

Toronto born Patrick Henry Travers has delivered one tasty release after another. From the powerhouse, rockin’ 70’s sound that launched his career, to the classy melodic eighties rock before a blues period in the nineties, but Pat isn’t looking to the past for his musical future. As the second decade of the Millennium dawned, Pat and the Band show no sign of letting up. The proof of the future are safe in the eight hands of Mr. Travers, second Guitarist Kirk McKim, Bassist Rodney O’Quinn and longtime sticksman, Sandy Gennaro.

2013 saw the release of the critically acclaimed,”CAN DO” viewed as one of the best releases in PTB history, along with DVD/CD set, ”Live at the Bamboo Room” It is a combination of “OLD” meets “NEW” in the sense of where Pat Travers started, to where his is now. Proving, that PTB still has plenty fire left.

Blazing through a set of classic hits like “Boom, Boom, Out Go the Lights”, “Crash and Burn”, “Snortin’ Whiskey”, to incredible remakes of “Red House”, “Black Betty”, “Green Eyed Lady”, There is an energy that is tangible, an enjoyment that is infectious, and, quite frankly, you owe it to yourself to catch this band whenever and wherever you can. Just don’t forget to bring a bottle!

From the streets of Toronto, to the streets of London, to the streets of the WORLD,now, here to kick your ass… The Pat Travers Band!!
